Miesha Theresa Tate, born August 18, 1986 is an American mixed martial artist. She is currently a participant in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where she was a previous UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate previously competed in Strikeforce, where she was the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice-president of ONE Championship. She is currently ranked 10th in the UFC women's bantamweight ranking on October 3 2022.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was the daughter of Michelle Tate and Robert Schmidt. Tate was born in Tacoma, Washington. As a teenager, she was a tomboy, she often socialized with the boys in her neighborhood at playgrounds.
